  1. Watermark or footer should cover all content.

A watermark, header or footer is set as a background-image. This way the watermark is hidden behind pictures or other non-transparent content - see screenshot (ex. Word).
A watermark should be transparent on top of all document content.

  2. Customize Request Permission MailAddress on AIP Client

We want to customize Request Permission MailAddress on AIP client
Currently, This value is displayed Primary E-mail Address.
But some users register unavailable e-mail address as primary E-mail for authentication.
Therefore we want to customize Request Permission MailAddress on AIP client.
(e.g. the value can be customized or selected some attribute.)

  3. Visual markings that are configured for colors can be displayed in color in Excel

In current version only Word, PowerPoint and Outlook support visual markings in different colors. Visual markings that are configured for colors always display as black in Excel. In future versions visual markings that are configured for colors should displayed in color in Excel.

  4. Add marking to Outlook message subject as a prefix or suffix (configurable)

Allow for a configurable prefix or suffix to be added to the subject line of an Outlook message. For example - my message subject is "Testing AIP" when I classify this as Confidential the subject line becomes "Testing AIP [C]" adding in an abbreviated form of the classification for quick reference and visibility in the inbox.

  5. Automatically remove redundant footers upon application of content markings

Many organizations have standard document templates with footers or headers including phrases like "Contoso Confidential" or other standard text. When AIP applies content marking in the form of a footer, these texts become redundant and in many cases visually overlap. AIP should offer the ability to detect boxes with specific text and remove them when applying content markings.

  6. Content markings including watermarks support more attributes including current user name

Expand the visual marking dynamic options to include additional user and device attributes (including from AD, AAD and devices). In particular, add support for the name or email address of the user viewing the document so visible markings can be used to dissuade some vectors for data leakage such as screen pictures.

  8. Multi Language Support for visual marking

Would like enhanced multi-language support for visibility markers within Office 365 documents that use Azure Information Protection.

Currently visibility markers only display in one language

  9. Reduce the number of lines in email below header markings

When a user sets an AIP label, recipients can see the too many lines between Visual Markings and main contents of the mail,

So we would like to ask to reduce this gap,

please see the attachment for the detail

  10. More text style settings (bold, italic, etc.)

Sometimes, in order to comply with the government requirements, you should have a specific visual type of font for labels, say, bold. I found that you can only choose the custom font in the settings, say, "Calibri Bold" or whatever and it works, BUT this isn't obvious at all (you are lucky if you found this yourself).
I believe having of a little bit more font functionality or some visual tips around labelling would be awesome.

  11. Classify & Protect multiple documents removes footer/watermark

When lowering or removing protection from multiple documents, the applied footer and watermark remains. Suggest either a pop-up that states visual markings won't be removed (to accommodate existing markings), or give the option to clear all markings regardless if AIP or user applied.

  12. Refresh visual markings in documents when classified with Windows Explorer shell integration or with Scanner

Apply/update the markings inside the document when right click on a file and apply label or the label is changed, and when the AIP scanner autoclassifies a document.

  14. Option to remove visual markings when sending externally

AIP should have an option to remove visual markings for external recipients not in a predefined list of domains.

Use case is for consumer facing organizations where you dont want to confuse your customers with internal control markings without context.

  15. Sign documents for verified author (signature)

It would be cool that similar to pgp signatures that we can see if the email is guaranteed to be from a distinguished address.

  16. single label/visual marking for entire mail conversation/thread

When replying to a mail with an existing label, the previous mail (quoted at the bottom) will keep its previous visual markings regardless of which label the reply-sender use as a label. In a long mail conversation, this means that each message will have its own visual marking that could state different meanings. AIP should have an option where visual markings in earlier/quoted messages are removed when a new label is applied.

  17. Visual markings should not trigger Word/Excel spellchecker

Visual markings should not trigger Word/Excel spellchecker. As visual markings i closer to a stamp than free text (at least conceptually), it should be possible to allow visual markings that are not "correct" according to Word and Excel spellchecker.

Use case: if you use symbols, whitespaces or similar special characters to format the visual markings in a particular design and this would be incorrect according to spellchecker if it were ordinary text.

  18. Visual Marking of Documents and mail - Enable different font-size per application.

    Hi,

I think it would be a good idea to have the option to differentiate the font-size, font-family and font-color of the footer/header per application. Now footers/header have the same size and type for all application. We can already enter different context per application using the if{} statements, it would be nice to be able to differentiate also the font type, size and color.

  19. Allow watermarks being shown immediately when the document is opened by a user.

Allow watermarks to be shown immediately when the document is opened by a user after it being bulk classified. Not having to wait until the user saves it

  20. Inherit the visual style from the parent label during creating sub-labels.

Would be great to have an option (a checkbox or something) in the Portal inside the sub-label window config that will let you inherit the visual marking style from the parent label. Especially if you need to create a number of sub-labels (too many clicks). Usually, they should be of the same colour and text style as the parent one.
